Alba Osteria
Alba is the successor to the critically acclaimed Full Moon Grill, which opened in 1992. The Full Moon became one of Boulder's best-loved restaurants, renowned for its delicious food, friendly and attentive service, and its acclaimed wine list.
Over thirty years of traveling throughout Italy, owner Rick Stein became enchanted with the Piemonte region, particularly the beautiful towns and rolling hills of an area known as the Langhe. Langhe in the local dialect means ridges, which link the many hillside vineyards, often shrouded in mist, that produce Barolo, Barbaresco, and Barbera, among Italy's greatest wines.
Alba, the principal town of the Langhe, is the home of Ferrero Chocolates and the world's most famous truffle market. This lovely medieval city, along with the surrounding area's beautiful landscapes and warm and generous people provided the inspiration and name for our restaurant.
